Production alone is only half the story

A solar dashboard can show a beautiful production curve and still tell very little about value. Venue teams also need to know what happened to grid imports, demand peaks and major building loads at the same time.

Choose one clear reference point

Decide where the site will compare “before” and “after”. If finance uses one meter, operations another and the solar platform a third, discussions quickly turn into arguments about which number is right. The same measurement point should feed the project economics.

Give operations enough detail to act

Whole-site data is useful for economics, while local data helps find a failing inverter, a changed schedule or an unexpected load. Both views matter, but they should connect to the same overall picture.

Keep the history

Save the underlying data so the venue can revisit a season later and ask better questions. That history becomes especially useful alongside a performance baseline.

In short

Decide how the venue will measure “before” and “after” before choosing dashboards. Good data matters more than a beautiful interface.
